Lovecraft created some of the most famous horror stories out there, creating an entire genre practically by himself called lovecraftian horror, where the characters are frequently toyed with by incomprehensible forces beyond our understanding, and any attempt to understand them would lead to madness. This genre inspired a ton of media surrounding it, and I Opened the Walls and Found Something Beautiful is one of many games that were created with the themes of the genre in mind.

To play I Opened the Walls and Found Something Beautiful, simply unzip the archive and run the executable.

The game will open with a narration talking about the disappearance of many people, and how the playable character is trying to find them. You'll quickly notice that the English is somewhat broken, due to English not being the developer's first language. However, you'll still get the gist.

You then play the opening of the game, where you follow a floating ball that is creating supernatural phenomena all around it that rearranges objects and surfaces as it seems to please. You find that it's opened a hole in the wall, where you decide to follow it and quickly become trapped in an alternate dimension where no surface will stay the same and is inhabited by floating human corpses.

Despite all the game's boasting about the game being in the fourth dimension, nothing outside of the third dimension really happens. Despite that, the game is still excellent and has a ton of atmosphere surrounding it that will scare even veteran players.
