Flash games were like the wild west. During the time they were around, modern game design in and of itself wasn't fully fleshed out. Sure, there were a couple of soft rules, but experimentation was everywhere.  Flash games were and are the most experimental games you can play around as they don't really care what's "right" and what's "wrong". Hello Worlds! is a great example of the creativity of this era with a creative gameplay gimmick.

To install Hello Worlds!, simply run the file in whatever SWF player you have.

There are a couple of characters to select from, but they don't change gameplay in any way. You start off as a crab, and eventually, you can start picking anything from a turtle to a little person.

The main gameplay gimmick is simple, yet genius. Your only goal is to get to the ending door. You'll need to do this by controlling multiple versions of your character over split screens. The gimmick is that whatever affects one screen will affect the other screens. So if you jump up onto a platform that doesn't exist on the other screen, then the second screen character will simply be standing on thin air. This starts off simple with two screens but racks up to 4 split screens quickly. You'll really need to be able to pay attention to multiple areas at once.
