Final Homecoming is a first person horror game which has clearly been influenced by games such as Silent Hill, it is still just a demo and still under development which it needs to be because although it shows a lot of promise at the moment it is barely playable. Such as the catacombs level where at some points you can just be left wandering in the dark with absolutely no direction or clue as to where to go next and this can become very frustrating.
The premise is you are a father searching for your missing wife and child and as the game starts you are walking through some deserted woods part of the frustration here is that there are a few buildings and it would be good if it was possible to go inside and find some clues in regards to finding your missing family after an uneventful walk through the woods you can finally enter a building which is an old church leading down to the previously mentioned catacombs. It was at this point the game became unplayable and it was necessary to quit out of the game, you can select whichever level you would like to play in the game so I skipped in to the next one this was inside an old place but again there was no clues or anything to hold interest.
Eventually skipping to the final level available in the free demo things did start to get a bit more scary but then almost impossible to continue it is impossible to say why without ruining any of the story but you may discover for yourselves.
The game has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work it’s worth checking out as long as you don’t go in to it with too high expectations.
