Escape from the Villa 1.0

Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. One creator, Tesshi-E, became known for making a ton of short escape games. Let's look at one of their games - Escape from the Villa.

To play Escape from the Villa, you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

The story's very light, with only a short intro and the protagonist's thoughts being conveyed in the bottom. Unfortunately, there's no English version for this game, so you won't be able to follow along if you aren't fluent. You'll notice that this has the iconic Tesshi-E photorealistic style. 

This game keeps the special examine item in your inventory button so you can zoom in and interact with the item closely. This will prove essential as you try to escape from the villa, as a couple of puzzle pieces and clues can only be gleaned from close inspection.

All in all, Escape from the Villa is another great entry by Tesshi-E and really shows off the creator's strength in escape room game design.
