Escape from the TV Room 1.0

Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. One creator, Tesshi-E, became known for short, bite-sized escape room games. Let's look at one of the first games he ever made - Escape from the TV Room.

To play Escape from the TV Room, you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

There's no story to speak of here, which is fine because the genre tends to not have that much story. Unfortunately, there's no English version for this game, so you won't be able to follow along if you aren't fluent. You'll notice that compared to the last couple of games they've made, the art style has changed, and you can tell it's progressing to its photorealistic modern art style.

There is only one screen in this entry - and only a few things to interact with. The TV, the numbers, and the button that's labeled push. These are the only puzzles in the room - good luck!

All in all, Escape from the TV Room is a great entry by Tesshi-E and really shows off the creator's strength in escape room game design.
