There are a couple of incredibly well-known figures in the online flash point-and-click escape room scene. One of them is Tesshi-E, who is known for simple, straightforward, but satisfying escape room games. Let's look at one of their games - Escape from the Living Room 2.

To play Escape from the Living Room 2, you have to unzip all the files into the folder you extracted the FPSoftware files to. Then, navigate to FPSoftware -> Basilisk-Portable -> Basilisk-Portable.exe. Afterward, drag the HTML onto the Basilisk browser.

There is an animated intro and the protagonist's thoughts are conveyed at the bottom of the screen as you play the game. The game has subtitles during gameplay, which means you can get the full experience without being fluent in Japanese. A proper translator has given it proper grammar, and it's a great and fluid read now. You can also select what language you want to play in instead of just having both on the screen together.

The story is straightforward. Your friend invited you to do an escape room with him, and then ditches you soon after you guys meet up, so you have to escape by yoursefl.

This game has a special examine item button so you can zoom in and interact with an item in your inventory closely. This will prove essential as you try to escape from the dome room as there are some hints that can only be found by examining items closely. Other than that, just click on the sides of the screen to rotate the room, click on an item to zoom in and interact with it, and click the bottom of the screen to zoom back out.

All in all, Escape from the Living Room 2 is a fantastic Tesshi-E game that shows off how great they are at designing escape rooms.
