Defiance 2050 1.0

Defiance 2050 is a futuristic third person shoot ‘em up and exploration game that opens up with your character (who you can design yourself although options are fairly limited) surviving an air crash and after being discovered by a rather friendly lady in what is otherwise a very dangerous world you are taken through a short tutorial and very quickly thrown in to the action.

When playing the game it is very hard not to judge it as a premium game due to the quality of it and the very professional intro however there are some flaws to it but due to it being completely free (although you will need to sing up for a Glyph account before you can download and play Defiance 2050) we won’t look too much at the flaws but try to avoid looking at the mouths of the characters during cut scenes as the voice synching is abysmal.

The game play itself is a lot of fun although if using a keyboard and mouse it can be quite difficult to get used to aiming and quick firing your weapons, once you get in to the massive multiplayer part of the game you will be able to find loot with more weapon upgrades and at times parts of the map will turn red when you will need to team up with other players and defeat some kind of alien invasion and after which you will be left with a huge loot box to hopefully find plenty of items to improve your gaming experience.

Whilst the game does have its rough edges and feels a bit more dated than it actually is, as free MMO’s go it is still one of the best available.
