Dead Letters is a very simple but incredibly intriguing cold war game where you play as a Russian spy trapped in the US and hoping to get back to Moscow, the only way to be able to do that though is to crack a code by listening to short repeated phrases which can be found by tuning your radio in to different frequencies. It’s recommended that you have a pen or pencil and piece of paper close by while you play the game as it will be very useful for noting down information that you hear on the radio.
Depending how good your skills are out working the code out and it’s not that difficult (you can’t see the list of letters and numbers and many different codes I tried to work out before it dawned on me so I can say it’s not too hard now!) and there is only a few minutes of game time here but it’s very enjoyable and a game that is a bit different where you get to play at being a code cracking spy.
Graphics wise there is only really one image but it looks good and is efficient for this type of game but it’s all more or less one image however it is nicely rendered.
If there was a couple more levels or codes to crack this could be a great game but due to it being so short however it is a very different and inventive idea so it’s definitely a good game.
