Are You With Us? Review

Are You With Us? Is a short Ouija board simulator for the 2016 Global Game Game Jam which takes a visual style as if it’s an old VHS recording as a guide to Ouija boards.  This seemed like a perfect game to play before this evening’s Halloween and the concept is certainly interesting however perhaps something was missed as it was not possible to get the Ouija board to say anything other than one word (Hierophant) which then brought up the same Tarot card over and over again, after trying to click every different thing on the board to bring up a different response from the other worldly guest communicating from the Ouija board it became rather frustrating however I’m sure there is more to the game but it was very difficult to discover and eventually the only option was to give up.

It’s a pretty cool idea for a game and has the potential to be very creepy if only it was a little easier to work out how to communicate back and forth with the other side.
