iTunes does a great job helping you manage your iPhone, but there are definitely a ton of things that it could do better. For instance, transferring music and movies not from the iTunes store is frustrating at the moment. They did it to dissuade pirated music, and while that is an admirable goal, we all know that it won't do too much to dissuade the most dedicated of them anyways. For another, it's clunky to use and it hogs up a significant amount of our computer's resources, almost single-handedly causing the slower computers to freeze up! That's why alternative programs like AnyTrans exists.

AnyTrans still requires iTunes to be installed but doesn't actually need it for anything other than detecting your device. Its interface is nice and easy to understand, with a neat structure and a look that can be described as appealing. There are a ton of little settings you can fiddle around with. If you're transferring files, you can tell it to only transfer the app itself, or the app and all data associated with it. You can also select your preferred duration for ringtones when importing them. You can also convert several incompatible video formats to compatible ones directly in the program itself. You can also choose what quality you want your media, import Safari bookmarks from your phone, and more.

All these features make AnyTrans stand above its other fellow IOS transfer peers, but there's a catch. The trial version only lasts for seven days, and you can only transfer 50 files a day. If you see yourself using something like this in the long run, though, it's a good one-time investment!
