Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is Abriss, a game with an incredibly unique visual style.
To play Abriss, simply unzip the files into a folder and run the executable.
This is a demo based around a series of campaign levels and, as physics-based games tend to have, a sandbox mode. Each level, you have to build a moving structure whose sole purpose is to destroy the other large structures in the level. You can go as simple as a simple tower that will fall in the right direction or a massive monstrosity with lasers, rotation mechanisms, flexible links, and more. All you have to do after you're done building your destructive structure is press Go, and the physics engine will engaged an you'll be able to watch as everything falls to pieces.
The current demo build gives you a diverse selection of building material that really lets you flex your creative muscles.
One of the game's best assets is the visual style. It's an incredibly charming and well thought out blend of 2D and 3D and definitely sticks with you after you're finished with a playthrough of it. If any of that sounds interesting to you, then you should definitely give Abriss a playthrough.
