Low budget indie games tend to be some of the most creative around, assuming they aren't just flipping assets poorly in Unity. Without the budget to create an epic, the creators instead need to focus on one unique feature to make their games stick out. From these restrictions come some truly inventive concepts. One of them is 2000 Navidson Lane, which is a game about an inspector checking in on an empty home for damage and quickly running into supernatural happenings.

To play 2000 Navidson Lane, simply run the executable after unzipping it to a folder.

You play as somebody who needs a little extra money to pay your rent and you accept a quick job that will net you forty bucks. Your job is to check out a nearby investment home for water damage or anything else untoward. However, once you get there, you quickly find that the TV is still on and thre are dirty dishes in the sink.

This is an incredibly short game, only taking about 10 minutes to play through. However this is a great little horror game regardless, as it thrives on the nothing is scarier trope. Every time you expect a jumpscare, the game will instead make nothing happen, making you incredibly jumpy and making any actual scare that happens hit that much harder than before. This is a mark of a great horror game and fans should take a look.
